My mother named me after seing Risė Stevens' name on an album cover, as it looked as pretty as it sounds. I've had some real experiences with my name. Hated it while in school and even changed the spelling to Risa so people could pronounce it without the usual butchering. Educating people on umlauts!

Jumping for joy if someone actually can pronounce it, usually they've known of Risė Stevens! Now I love it and can't imagine any other name! I have always wondered about the origin of my spelling. It's always fun to run into another Risė, as it isn't very often.
