Wow! I have never imagined there are so many Reesas, Risas, and Resas. I also never knew that my name even had a meaning. I am Japanese and my mom just happened to think of this name from out of nowhere. (When I asked her once why she picked 'Risa' which is quite unusual name for Japanese, she said, 'well, I thought it sounds kinda cute'.) A typical Japanese girl's name usually ends with 'ko' (like junKO, yukiKO, mariKO, etc.), so I hated my name since my name didn't end with 'ko' sound.

Then, I came to the U.S. 10 years ago and I kinda started to like it. I always tell my new friends that my name is Lisa with an 'R'; it seems like it is quite easy to remember. I think having a discussion group is a wonderful idea! It's nice to know all of you, Reesa, Risa and Resa! Risa
