I, too, was named after Risė Stevens. My mother was a big fan of her singing and loved the name. I'm sure I've had all the same experiences as the rest of those who use this spelling. Lots of "rise" jokes. Teachers could really butcher the name but there were many who knew how to pronounce it because they knew of Risė Stevens. I've always been proud of my name. Mom did good!

I found this site while doing a search for Risė Stevens. Now and then I just like to see what's out there about her. I suppose being named after someone makes you want to know more about them.
