I get many different reactions from my clients and colleagues at work. I'm called Lisa, Teresa, Marisa, and other variations before people get it right. When reading my name, people often pronounce it with a hard I. I have learned patience from having my name. I love it, and have always been proud of it. It's a very beautiful name. The show Ally McBeal also had a Risa last season.

Another one of my clients told me today that there was an opera singer named Risė Stevens. I decided to find out more about her, and typed in her name at ask.com. This site came up.

People often tell me that my name means laughter in Spanish. My middle name is Katrina. It means happiness or something of that sort. I think my mom really wanted me to be happy and smile! :)
