From: Rhesa Duncan, 38, engineer, Sumter, S.C., rsduncan@engr.sc.edu Date: 2/17/03 My background is Church of Christ, Anglo-Saxon and American Indian. My mother named me after finding the name in the book of Luke in the Bible. As a child, I lived in a neighborhood with a bunch of friends called Teresa, Lisa, and Marisa. I was called everything from Reese's Pieces, Eesa, the names mentioned above, and every other pronunciation possible. I have only come across one other "Reesa" besides myself and her name was spelled Risa. I'm glad to see that others of "my name" have similar, laughable experiences as my own. |
