I've already posted a comment, and then went back and read others. I, too, am Jewish and my Hebrew name is Rivka. I was named after my mother's mother, whose name was actually Rebecca. I hated the name Reesa as a child and only wanted to be called "Mary" or "Sue" or something common. I've gotten to like it now - it's hard to mix me up with anyone else (until this discussion group, anyhow!)
