I wasn't named after anyone. My parents liked the name Lisa, which was very
popular at the time I was born, but my grandfather said it was too plain. Both
of my parents’ names began with the letter "R": Raymond and Ruth, so they added
the "R" to Lisa. They felt that unless they added an "e," some people would
think it was pronounced Rye-sa.
