I'm in that new category "multiracial." My mom is white and my father is black. I was originally Evelyn Cloreesa Moore McKenzie but that was too much name for such a little girl so every called me Reesa – It was changed legally at age 5. Usually, nobody understands me when I say my name so when they say "Theresa, Lisa?" I just say, "Close enough." Of course, there's the classic, "Oh, like Reese's peanut butter cups." I'm sure we all get these same comments. However, I've always received compliments because of the name.

Just for the heck of it I did a search on MY name and guess what I found? A whole bunch of Reesa's. Very Interesting. My name is Reesa Marie McKenzie and I'm from Lansing, Mich. I've never met anyone with OUR name before, I've had people tell me they know so and so, who has a relative named Reesa or something like that but I've certainly never seen a whole page of Reesa's, and I thought I was so unique!
