WE ARE GLOBAL REAL ESTATE
REESA’s broad mission is to improve the opportunities for investment in securitized real estate equity around the globe.
ABOUT
REESA, The Real Estate Equity Securitization Alliance, is an international consortium of representative real estate industry organizations with a focus on REIT regimes and stock exchange listed real estate businesses around the world. REESA seeks to improve understanding of and opportunities for global investment in securitized real estate equity.
The formation of REESA in 2006 was a direct response to the growing acceptance and use of REIT-based real estate investment around the world in the 21st Century. Today, more than 40 countries and regions around the world have adopted a REIT regime, recognizing the benefits of REIT-based real estate investment to national economies as well as to global investment.
REITs and stock exchange listed real estate businesses offer the public a well-recognized path to securitized real estate equity investment amounting to nearly $4 trillion USD.
The members of REESA work together, when appropriate, to help inform global policymakers on a range of REIT and real estate investment issues, educate investors about REITs and securitized real estate equity investment, assist standard-setters on a host of matters and, support industry initiatives tied to environmental stewardship, social responsibility and good governance (ESG).
